Hello:
The
4th Annual e-Marketing Insight Conference: Trends and Travel Web 2.0 is just around the corner – scheduled for
August 2 and 3 in
Detroit, Michigan.
This year’s program will feature the best
content and
group of presenters to date. In the last nine months, we’ve all seen
Web 2.0 explode in the travel and tourism industry. We’ll cover that explosion in-depth, share innovative ideas on how to maximize these new marketing technologies, review some best practices and provide you with some proprietary consumer research - courtesy of
travel media conglomerate
Miles Media and San Francisco based
research group
Destination Analysts.
Educational sessions include the following topics – blogging, podcasting,
search marketing, web design, RSS, Wikis, e-mail marketing, user generated content, social networks and mobile marketing. The conference is all
Web 2.0 and all travel and tourism focused.
If
you’re a travel marketer and haven’t been to one of our past conferences,
take the advice of one of our past attendees –
"I learned a TON! This is the only conference that I find a must for our industry."
Visit these links for more on the
schedule of events, along with information on
how to register.
In an effort to keep the educational sessions as interactive and personal as possible, registration will be
limited to the first 50 people. The registration fee is $449/per attendee for all of the educational sessions, materials and networking opportunities. The
deadline is July 20 or when the first 50 attendees are registered -
which ever comes first. Don’t be left out!

Thanks again for your interest and we hope to see you in Detroit this
August!
Sincerely,

Dave Serino, e-Strategist, Gammet

In the next few weeks leading up to the
e-Marketing Insight Conference, we’ll
a provide a preview of some of the sessions and presenters.
Today, we will look at
Bill Geist.
Bill is an
e-Marketing Insight Conference veteran, as he has been part of the last three programs.
Not only does Bill bring his experience as a former CVB executive to the table, he brings a wealth of knowledge from his daily work. As an author, speaker, consultant and, most recently,
blogger - Bill is in touch with the issues that
travel industry marketers face on a daily basis. He is always at the
forefront of new technology with his recent and very popular blog –
Bill Geist’s Zeitgeist - and his podcasting efforts done through the
DMOU program.
Bill will review some of the travel industry’s best practices, discuss challenges and share some personal experiences in the world of online media within the travel industry during his session
- Blogs, Pods and Vods: Three Mediums that are a Must for the Marketing Mix. On day two, he will be closing out the conference sharing his insight on the state of mobile marketing during the session
- Mobile Travel Marketing: Are We There Yet?
A Bill Geist presentation is informative and always entertaining.
Be sure to catch two of them at the
2007 eMarketing Insight Conference on
August 2 and 3.
